the other day, someone, a visitor to my site, gave me a piece of advice. he said, "james, you need to have shorter stories on your website. some people just don't want to read through such long ones."
this confused me at first for the obvious reason that my name is not james, and so as he was talking i was trying to think back about something i had written in which i had called myself james so as to give him the wrong idea. but that's not important.
"i can see what you're saying," i told him.
"it's just a suggestion. i'm just trying to help."
"okay, thanks." after we spoke i went to europe for two weeks.
so for those of you who don't read through some of my stories because they are "too long," i have done something for you. when you push the back button or you click the link at the bottom of this page, it will take you to my website. as you scroll down the site you will notice there are many words. these are the titles to my stories, articles, pictures, etc. if reading the entire story or article, or looking at an entire picture, takes too long, you can just read these titles. the titles are all you really need to know about the story because they sum them up in a way that is complete and whole. in fact, reading the stories would only make you deviate from the story's true meaning as they tend to be very confusing, like talking to your ex. i probably won't even write any more stories or articles or put up any more pictures, i'll just put up a title for them.
okay, so, to anyone who comes to my site, you don't need to actually click on any of the links. they were made for my own personal entertainment. all you need to do is read the titles. just scroll down the site and read the titles. you could skip over some titles that are too long, such as "human life as seen through the words and actions of two ships ," or "creeks in a 1.5 hour radius around fredericksburg, tx," or "a lifetime expressed in six amateur pictures," in order for you to get away from my site and continue in your busy day.
so, thank you for the tip. help us keep this site user friendly and happy.
