finger holes

i hollowed out my fingers today. i took a drill and, inserting a bit
the size of a letter "o," drilled from the tip of my fingers toward
my hands. i can now insert certain objects in them, like columns of
lead from pencils, and then i cannot bend my fingers. it's a very
very odd sensation. you might think it's like having a splint on your
finger, but it's not. it is completely different, and it is accompanied
by blood and pain. i drilled three holes of the same size perpendicular
to the main hole on my right middle finger, making sure not to drill
all the way through both sides. i was trying to make a flute, but it
never worked; i guess i need one hole to blow into and one hole in
the bottom for the air to come out. i tried to make a flute out of
bamboo as a child. it never worked. since my finger flute did not work
i decided to complete the half drilled holes. i can now carry two more
columns of lead than before.

everyday, i look forward to other projects that i might complete.
